Notes for Tempa (Tempra H.?) Gallagher Last Name Uncertain
Last name guess of Gallangher comes from 1850 Census in which an A A Gallanger (male, age 67) is linving with Aaron and Tempa Chadwick). Could this be her father?
Might last name be Cockrum? Ancestry family trees show a Sarah Wharton married to John Cockrum with children including Tupie Cochran b 1818 in S,C, Info in Cothern Family Tree by SheliaCothern. This suggestion comes up over and over in explaining DNA matches from me to others in Ancestry.
1900 Census says she has 9 children, 6 alive. Missing one child as of 1/10/2022. - Not our dino - Then again, this could very well be her as she did have six chilren alive in 1900 and she may have had two children who died young and never made a census record. Need to find that record again. Found it. And it still seems problematic. Head of household is Allen b1847 Sept, also in household is sister Mary born 1862 May. Neither of these are family members featured in other census records so this is likely a different family and not our Tempie Chadwick.
