Obituary for Earl Ray Hogland
Earl Ray Hogland, age 91, of Versailles, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at the Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. He was born August 3, 1916, in Paragould, Arkansas, the son of Walter C. and Mattie Bell Street Hogland.
Earl was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and was a member of the American Legion in Prescott, Arizona. He worked most of his life as an auto body mechanic. After his retirement, he still enjoyed tinkering with cars, and hunting. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by his wife Glendola Hogland of the home; children, Geraldine Floyd of Amarillo, Texas and Larry Hogland of Glendale, Arizona; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers, W.C. Hogland of Sunrise Beach and Loyal Gene Hogland of Camdenton; one sister Hazel Coburn of Wentzville, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, one son, Carl Ray Hogland, one daughter Betty June Tittle, four brothers and six sisters preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 6, 2007, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Teddy Renolett officiating.
