He enrolled in trade school after moving back to St. Louis (1883?). He studied jewelry engraving. In 1887(?) worked at a jewelry store & finished his course in engraving. The family moved to 2421 N. 10th St. on Dec 26, 1898. All brothers bought a jewelry business from Alfred Marshall in 1906. They moved the business to hte 3rd fl of the Equitable buidling. The business was known as Lott Brothers Jewelry Manufacturing Co. Eventually he had stroke and forced to retire.
