Obit: Funeral Services for Marjorie Rae Baert, 74, of 200 North 2nd Street, St. Charles, will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Geneva.
Born December 20, 1935 in Geneva, the daughter of Cedrick and Dorothy (nee Shewalter) Stroberg, she passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva while surrounded by her family.
Marjorie was a 1953 graduate of Geneva High School. She attended the University of Illinois and was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed all types of music and was an avid reader and lifelong learner. She was a former longtime resident of Geneva.
She is survived by her three children, Mary (Don) Morrissette of Oswego, Mark (Kari Lynn) Baert of California, and Bonnie (Scott) Hogan of Paris, Illinois, and their father, Daniel Baert of St. Charles; grandchildren, Racheal Chandler, Joshua and Kaitlyn Baert, and D.J. and Miranda Hogan; great-grandson, Joseph Schiavo; stepgrandchildren, Shawn and Adam Morrissette and Shaunna Kruger; and sister, Judy Johnson of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Sally Stroberg and Susie Frerichs.
