Notes for Frederick Saner
is Frederick Saner from the Mennonite Records with parents buried in Millersville Cemetery our Frederick Saner
Many Ancestry trees for this family show a Frederick that is born in 1796, died in 1857. There is an 1820 Census for Frederick Sehner in Lancaster that fits him. There are also 1840 and 1850 Census records for a Frederick Sehner in Hagerstown, MD that the Ancestry sites claim is the Frederick for this family.
But we have an 1850 Census that we know is for our Frederick in Cranberry, PA. Clearly there are two different Frederick Sehnor’s in PA at this time but there is no direct evidence that ties either one to the Mennonite family
What is needed is a birth record for the Frederick Sehner that belongs to the Mennonite family.
A Frederick Saner’s military record indicates that he is from PA, Somerset (B’s interpretation). B also found a census record (1830) of a Frederick Saner in Somerset county PA and his family is a non-match for our Frederick Saner
