The family seems to have returned in to Ireland in 1859, probably to get their daughter Mary. She was likely too young when they first emmigrated and was likely left with family or friends. When they returned they took William, Catherine and Michael (listed as Mahon, a misspelling due to the Irish pronunciation of his name) - the latter two who had been born in Missouri. On the return trip their surname was poorly written and this reference shows it as “Flannels” instread of “Flanagan”. 980
