Lloyd E. Schumacher, of 5324 West Pensacola, Chicago, died Thursday morning (25 April 1985). Funeral services for Mr. Schumacher were held Monday (29 April 1985) at the Matz Funeral Home in Chicago. Visitation was held Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m.
A memorial has been established.
Mr. Schumacher was born June 2, 1914 in Whiteside County, the son of Mathias and Fannie (Graehling) Schumacher. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Bannister on November SO, 1946, in Tacoma, Washington.
He owned and operated Lloyd's Hardware Store on North Central Avenue, Chicago, until his retirement in 1974.
He was a graduate of Moody Bible Institute. He served as Chaplain at five nursing homes in the Chicago area. He also served as pulpit supply in some Chicago churches.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; one son, David three sisters, Mrs. Marion Farver and Mrs. Dorothy Haberer, both of Sterling, and Mrs. Ida Scovill of Arcadia, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Edwin, and two brothers.
